We have had a week of excitement and goodbye's at Rye Primary. We held our Year 6 Leavers event on Monday when the whole Year group went swimming for the afternoon followed by games and a BBQ. Their parents then came along later in the day for the presentations.

On Tuesday we held our Leavers Assembly when we said goodbye to Mrs Sarkies who is retiring and Miss Baker who is moving on to another school to take up an Assistant Headteacher post. We also said a temporary goodbye to Mrs Lee who has gone on maternity leave. We wish them all well.

We also congratulated all the children who had been been Greedy Readers every term this year with Sharks being the overall winners in the Greedy Reader Challenge!

Certificates were distributed to children who had achieved 100% attendance this academic year as well as to those who had arrived at school on time every day.

Also on Tuesday Pugwash Nursery held their leavers party, they had lots of fun playing party games including musical statues, musical bumps, pin the beard on the pirate and LOTS of dancing!! They then had a party tea with their party hats that they had made! Great fun was had by all!

Well done to everyone for all their achievements and successes this year!

We hope you all have a lovely Summer Holiday and we look forward to seeing you all on Thursday 7th September
