Dear Parents and Carers
I would like to warmly welcome you to Rye Community Primary School. My team and I are extremely proud of our popular school which has grown rapidly since we opened in 2008, and is recognised as a ‘good’ school by Ofsted and the community. When you visit Rye Community Primary the overwhelming feeling is of a family atmosphere; every child is known as an individual and their special talents are recognised and celebrated.
The School forms part of Rye Academy Trust, encompassing Pugwash Nursery, Rye Community Primary, Rye College and Studio School; offering the possibility of continuous educational journey from the age of 2 to 19. Offering exciting and creative opportunities for our children, to develop the whole child with a focus on celebrating their talents.
Our environment is challenging and secure with a clear aim to actively develop our children as resilient learners for their future in a modern Britain, enabling them to aspire and achieve their dreams, making informed choices along their way.
The staff and Governors have high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour. We believe in a strong partnership between home and school, where parents are partners in promoting good behaviour and a positive attitude to learning. We welcome parents into school to support their children in the classroom or to discuss their child’s progress and challenges. Throughout your child’s education we will keep you up to date and informed of progress and development. You are welcome to see us at any time, particularly if you have any concerns or questions, though an appointment may be necessary. Together we will support your child to achieve their goals.
Here at Rye Community Primary School, we believe education is not only about equipping children with knowledge and skills, but also about capturing their enthusiasm, nourishing their creativity and making school a happy place to be for everyone.
Please continue to browse our website which displays pupils’ work and provides information regarding all aspects of school life. If you have any further questions do not hesitate to contact us. Making the right choice for your child is something we, as teachers and parents, fully understand.
Mrs Lynda Doel
